Skint so can't afford to go abroad Poor Lara's not been out of the country yet. Just booked a camping holiday: couple of nights at Riverview Caravan Park, Lincoln. (Sadly just found our the pool will be closed). Need to book another couple of nights camping somewhere in August. Got some Hotels.com vouchers to use (might save them 'till xmas time and surprise Chez again with a visit to Newcastle).

Departure date: Sunday 30 July 2023. No. of nights: 3. Estimated time of arrival: 7pm. Depart by: 10:30 a.m. Review: ''Likes:'' Lovely 3 night stay for our family of 4 at the end of July 2023 (So lucky to dodge the downpours!). • Friendly staff and the facilities were nice and clean. The lady who welcomed us (think she was Polish, looked like she was doing it all, but all with a smile and looked to be working really hard). • The on-site bar was good, reasonably priced (even though Friday night rock night was a bit different for the kids). Then bingo / karaoke the Saturday night. • Cost us £90 for 3 nights on a decent pitch, with electric and even a picnic bench to use. (Sadly no river view from the tent as we were down the bottom of an embankment). We were able to park the car right next to the tent and also had a drinking water tap very close too. • The locals were friendly (We were bought a pint and even icecream for the kids! (think he was called Rob)). • Good location: Free airshow view from the site or the river bank • Close to Lincoln for a day out. • Only 19 min (8.0 miles) from Jubilee Park at Woodhall spa for a nice outdoor heated Lido swim. • Not too far from the coast (we had a day out at Mablethorpe). ''Dislikes:'' No complaints, but if we were to pick fault with anything: • No hot water for washing / showers. • No response from emails sent, no response on mobile phone number (Wanted to check about late arrival time but no one got back to us). • Kids play area was in a weird location (next to where traffic comes in and of the site), but at least they had a bit of something for the kids. It was worrying when they dissapeared during the day but if in the bar at night it was good for keeping an eye on them. • Arcade machine in the bar was out of order. • The indoor pool was freezing but the info we were given did advise this.
