I'm on Event UK's books for DJ Gigs.
However they are stopping sending out emails and forcing people to check Facebook and twitter
The problem with that is I have to check several times a day - and by the time I do that, the gigs probably gone. The good thing about the old email system was as soon as they publish what needs attention - they flash up on your phone/computer inbox straight away...
I've set the twitter text message thing up so going to have to see how it goes.
Im planning on doing more work through event rather than the mobile disco as it's taking too much time and hastle to get set up these days. Most gigs through event are "laptop jobs" where all equipment is at the venue and usually it's town center pubs so the crowds always good and get to play some decent tunes for a change!
