Why not make your own server same as mine? If I can figure it out I'm sure you can! There's many different ways to make a server. Personally I use Microsoft IIS because it allows HTTP and FTP servers to be run at the same time or one and not the other. It's also on your Window's CD so no messing about downloading files! For Windows XP PRO. Yes you need the Windows XP Pro Edition CD. It can be done with XP Home, but it's more tricky... 1. Insert your XP Pro CD... 2. Click On Install Optional Windows Components 3. Select Internet Information Services (IIS) OK now you have IIS installed on your PC. All you have to do now is create "Virtual Direcotories" for where you want to host the website files or files for download. I will add some more detail to this post to help you when I get time. If you get stuck just leave a message. Here's a good guide to have a look at.Or click here to find out how to do it the easy way with www file share proOnce you have all this installed and running you will have noticed for anyone to see the folders your sharing you have to give them your IP. Not allways a good thing, so use a referal tool such as the SHOOTER from www.Selfhost.com this is free too It just means instead of giving out your IP all you have to do is run the shooter and give them whateveryouchoose.selfhost.com as your server address.
