Have you ever tried Shazam ? Visit the website here: www.Shazam.com all you do is phone a number, hold your phone out near some loud music and it text's you back with the artist name and song title. Brilliant for when your dancing away in a club and want to know what a tune is (It's also a good reminder for the next day because almost definately you will have forgotten all about it after some pop). Give it a try you will be impressed. It can't cope very well with really new stuff, obscure stuff or some mash-ups. But you can't expect it to be that good. Does the job

You can also text a question to 63336. For example say: "Who sings the 80's song waiting for a star to fall?" They will text you back within a few minutes with the answer: Boy Meets Girl had a hit in 1988 reaching number 9 in the charts. Cabin Crew also covered the track in 2005 which reached number 4. And if you still can't find the name of a song or the year it was in the charts try www.everyhit.comA bit of a long shot - if you only know some of the words in a song, search google for [google]lyrics[/google]
