Keep hearing a lot about this XBMC thing, sounds like it's just a GUI for stuff you can already do if your not a complete retard?
Anyway never used it before so going to give it a try, the lads at work are always on about watching stuff on mashup, but surely the quality of it when streaming isn't going to be as good as downloading a file would be?
Just read something about plex being a spin off from it, at least plex uses your PC as a media server.

I've installed Mashup and watching streams - the picture quality is a bit naff on most stuff so will stick to downloading files.
Is there anything else like Mashup to get the source of the streams Managed to get it to launch my SNES9x Emulator, but still working out how to get it full screen?

Wanted to watch something, but our internet speed is so shot it just wouldn't stream. Is there a way to pre-download it? There are some buffer settings I might try altering.
I wouldn't mind clicking on a video, then coming back 20-30 mins later to know the whole episode will play all the way through without the stopping and starting!
