On the PC I use for Djing everything's been working fine, but just lately when I was searchig the F: drive for a karaoke track the whole computer just re-booted, no warnings no error messages or anything....
I stopped searching the F: drive and transferred all the files to a different drive and the same thing happend.
I now get the same problem no matter what I search for on any drive. It doesn't do it all the time though. Sometimes a search will complete OK, then other's it just trips the computer out.
Any ideas?

Chris Beech reckons I should...
"you should either reinstall windows ...do some googling for a fix ...get yourself a 3rd party search tool that replaces the normal windows search"
Really don't want to have to re-install windows that's a last resort, havn't found anything on google relevant. When I load all the files into Virtual DJ and search it doesn't seem to crash so the third option seems to work for now. but in virtual Dj it's hard to differentiate between the file types - audio / video / karaoke so don't want to use it like that. Also I have a folder full of my albums and I don't want to add them to virtual Dj's search database.

Formating the hard drive and re-installing windows seems to have fixed it.
